so, i just heard about this new game called fragmentary order, and i am totally stoked. it's being led by the creator of escape from tarkov, nikita buyanov, and it's supposed to be a hardcore sci-fi extraction shooter. i've been a fan of tarkov for ages, and the fact that buyanov is working on something new is really exciting.

from what i've read, fragmentary order is going to be the total opposite of arc raiders, which is another game in the same genre. apparently, buyanov thinks arc raiders is too casual, and he wants fragmentary order to be way more challenging and realistic. i kind of get where he's coming from - i mean, arc raiders can be pretty laid back, and it's all about making friends with other players. but at the same time, that's part of its charm. i'm curious to see how fragmentary order will balance difficulty and teamwork.

one thing that's really interesting is that buyanov says fragmentary order will simulate reality, just like tarkov. this means that players will have to deal with dynamic events and survive in a pretty harsh environment. it sounds like it's going to be a real challenge, but also super rewarding if you can manage to make it out alive. and, despite the focus on realism, buyanov isn't ruling out the possibility of players working together - it's just not going to be forced, like in arc raiders.
