omg, you guys, remember that baltic powers dlc for age of empires 3: definitive edition that got cancelled back in 2025? well, it's back from the dead and it's coming out in september! i'm so hyped about this, i've been playing age of empires for ages and i love the idea of new civs and game modes.

so, for those who don't know, the baltic powers dlc is going to add two new playable civs: denmark and the polish-lithuanian commonwealth. from what i've heard, the danes are all about being sneaky and using their economic intelligence to outmaneuver their enemies, while the poles are all about building up their agrarian powerhouse and then unleashing devastating cavalry attacks. it sounds like so much fun!

the dlc is also going to include some new maps, including ones based on real historical conflicts like the livonian war and the dano-swedish wars. and, of course, there are some new game modes too - regicide mode sounds especially cool, where you can win instantly if you take out the enemy's regent. independence mode also sounds like a challenge, where you have to grind out a victory without any support from your home city.
