so i just heard that subnautica 2 is already getting some crazy mods, and i'm totally here for it. the game just launched into early access, but modders are already finding ways to unlock debug consoles and add in some pretty wild cheats. i mean, who doesn't want to play in god mode or instantly spawn items?

i guess the original subnautica had a debug console, but it's not officially available in the sequel... yet. somehow, modders have figured out how to access it, and now we can use console commands to do all sorts of things. like, we can change our field of view, which isn't even an option in the regular game settings. it's pretty cool that we can already do this, even if it's not officially supported.

so, to get started with these mods, you'll need to install a couple of things and then restart the game. once you're playing, you can press f2 to access the command console. from there, you can click on some pre-made commands or enter your own manually. some of the commands are pretty useful, like being able to craft things without using up resources or unlocking all the blueprints and recipes. there are also some more silly ones, like being able to kill yourself and immediately respawn.

i've been playing around with some of these commands, and it's definitely changed the way i experience the game. for example, i can use the "item" command to add specific resources to my inventory, which is super helpful when i'm trying to build something. there's also a command to set the time of day, which is kind of nice if you want to play during a specific time period. and, of course, there's the "god" command, whichRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
