so i just heard about the latest patch for street fighter 6 and i'm still trying to wrap my head around it. apparently, the game had this super weird storyline where one of the characters, alex, is married to his second cousin who's also his adoptive sister... yeah, it's a whole thing. and when people started calling out capcom for it, they promised to revise some of the text to make it less confusing.



but here's the thing - the revised text actually makes it even shadier than before. originally, it was pretty clear that alex's wife patricia was related to him, but now it's all vague and secretive. it's like they're trying to downplay the whole thing, but it's still pretty obvious what's going on. i mean, alex is still married to someone he's blood related to, and they've even got a kid together.



i'm just so confused as to why capcom is being so stubborn about this. it's not like it would be hard to come up with a different backstory for alex and patricia. they could be childhood friends, or neighbors, or anything really. but no, they're sticking with this weird, incestuous storyline that's just making everyone uncomfortable. and it's not just the storyline itself, it's the way they're handling it too. it feels like they're trying to sweep it under the rug, but it's only making it more noticeable.
