so, you guys have probably heard about the new street fighter movie that's coming out in 2026, right? it just got a brand new trailer and i am so hyped. the trailer is full of action, with plenty of roundhouses and explosions to go around. but what really caught my attention was the little bit of mournful karaoke tucked away in there - it's such a cool touch.



i've also been keeping up with the drama surrounding street fighter 6, and let's just say it's been a wild ride. after some major fan outcry, capcom is finally patching out alex's super weird storyline - i mean, i won't go into details, but yeah, it was pretty bad. on a more positive note, guilty gear strive just announced a huge new update, which is exciting for fans of the series.



in other capcom news, it was just announced that saudi arabia now owns a pretty big chunk of the company - over 10% to be exact. this has some people worried, but i'm not really sure what to think about it yet. on a more fun note, have you guys seen the new mcdonald's-inspired skins for street fighter characters? they're actually kind of amazing, and i would totally play as them.

oh, and one more thing - evo is getting some big changes, with five new regional events and a brand new world championship. this could be really cool for competitive gamers, and i'm excited to see how it all plays out. anyway, that's my take on all the latest street fighter news - what do you guys think about all the drama and updates?
