omg, you guys, have you heard about this insane streamer who built a battery-powered gaming pc using over 100 aa batteries? like, i'm all for crazy projects, but this one takes the cake. the streamer, uwos lab, spent five hours building this thing from scratch, and the rules were pretty straightforward: no laptops, and no lithium ion aa batteries. just a regular desktop pc powered by a ton of regular aa batteries.

i have to admit, i was a bit skeptical at first, but the way uwos lab explained their plan was actually pretty genius. they wired eight aa batteries together to get 12 volts, and then repeated that process 50 times to get a high current feed. it's crazy to think that this actually worked, but it did. although, i have to say, the math didn't quite add up at first - they thought they'd need around 400 batteries, but ended up using 192 instead. these were split across three laser-cut wooden boxes, each containing 64 batteries and wrapped in duct tape. yeah, it's a bit of a mess, but hey, it works.

so, about the pc itself... it's not exactly a beast, but it gets the job done. it's based on an am4 motherboard, and it doesn't have a discrete gpu, so it's likely using a g-series amd processor. and, funnily enough, it doesn't even have its own internal storage, so uwos lab had to boot from a usb drive. but here's the kicker - they used a hannah montana linux to benchmark the rig. i mean, who comes up with this stuff? it's just so... extra. but hey, it's also kind of amazing.
