omg, you guys, have you seen the new music video for stellar blade: blood rain? it's literally the worst thing i've ever seen from a game dev, and i'm still trying to process why they thought it was a good idea. apparently, the ceo of shiftup is super into ai and decided to showcase their game with an ai-generated music video and song. yeah, it's as bad as it sounds.

the video itself is just cringeworthy - the main character evie has this weird, phasing outfit and her face is just... off. it's like they took all the wrong parts of her design and mashed them together into something that's supposed to be appealing, but really it's just unsettling. and don't even get me started on the song - it's like someone took a bunch of random computer noises and tried to pass them off as music. i mean, i've heard better tunes in a browser game from 10 years ago.

i'm seriously worried about the state of game music if this is the kind of thing that's going to become more common. i love games because they have the power to evoke real emotions and make me feel something, and that's all thanks to the hard work of human devs and composers who actually care about what they're creating. when you replace that with ai-generated junk, you're not just losing the soul of the game - you're losing the connection with the players.
