so i was browsing through steam the other day, and i have to say, it's getting pretty tough to find anything actually worth playing. i mean, i love digging through the new releases and discovering hidden gems, but lately, it's all just been a bunch of low-effort spam games. and you can usually tell they're spam just by looking at the capsule art - it's all got that weird, generic sheen to it that screams "i was made by a robot".

i'm not gonna lie, it's pretty frustrating. i used to love browsing through steam because it was like a treasure hunt, you know? you'd stumble upon these weird, quirky games that were just so much fun to play. but now, it's all just a bunch of AI-generated nonsense. and the worst part is, you can't even trust the capsule art anymore. i mean, take store simulator pettikada and chiggas - survival of the mitiest, for example. the capsule art looks all fancy and realistic, but when you click through to the store page, it's just a cheap, lazy game.

it's not like this is a new problem or anything - i mean, box art has never really matched the actual game, if we're being honest. but there's just something about AI-generated art that's so... soulless. it's like, it's not even trying to be appealing or convincing, it's just there to take up space. and that's what really gets me - these games aren't even trying to be good, they're just trying to make a quick buck. and it's ruining the experience of browsing through steam for everyone else.
