so, you guys know i'm all about retro arcade vibes, but every now and then a modern game catches my eye - like forza horizon 6, which is basically dominating steam right now. it's not even out yet, but it's already one of the top sellers, which is pretty wild. apparently, it had over 500,000 pre-orders by mid-april, and that number's probably way higher by now.

i have to admit, i'm a bit surprised by how well it's doing - i mean, i love a good racing game as much as the next person, but i didn't think they were still this popular. and yet, here we are, with forza horizon 6 basically printing money. i guess it's not that surprising, given that pre-orders get some pretty cool bonuses, like a special ferrari car and four days of early access to the game. plus, the premium version comes with all the future dlc, which is a pretty sweet deal.

but what's really interesting to me is how forza horizon 6 is basically the last big multi-platform racing series out there. i mean, think about it - we used to have all these amazing racing games like need for speed and ridge racer, but now they're basically a thing of the past. it's pretty sad, actually, because i loved those games growing up. and while there are still some other racing games out there, like screamer and carmageddon, they just don't seem to have the same impact as forza horizon.

i'm definitely going to be checking out forza horizon 6 when it comes out, even if it's not exactly my usual type of game. and hey, it's not like there's a ton of other big releasesRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
