so i just heard about this new star wars game called star wars zero company and it sounds pretty cool, i guess. the writer, aaron contreras, is trying to do something a bit different with the whole "chosen one" storyline that we've seen a million times before. instead of having some super special hero who saves the day, the game is more focused on the team and how they work together.

i kind of love that idea, to be honest. i mean, who doesn't get tired of the same old cliches in rpgs? it's always the same thing: hero emerges, hero saves the world, hero gets all the credit. but what about the people behind the hero? the ones who are actually doing all the work? that's what star wars zero company is trying to explore, and i'm really curious to see how it plays out.

apparently, the game is set during the clone wars era, which is a pretty interesting time period. it's before all the good vs evil stuff got simplified, and things are still pretty morally ambiguous. the writer wants to explore that grey area, and have the player make tough decisions that take into account the different personalities and worldviews of the characters. it sounds like it could be really challenging, but also really rewarding.
one of the ways they're doing this is through a "bond system", where squadmates form relationships and grow closer as they go on missions together. but don't expect to just charm everyone into loving you - it's not that kind of game. the writer is going for something a bit more realistic, where relationships are complex and multifaceted. i think that's really cool, and it could add a whole new layer of depth to the game.
