so i just heard about star wars zero company, a new tactics rpg that's all about storytelling and characters. it's being developed by bit reactor, and they're going for a more cinematic approach, which sounds pretty cool to me. i mean, who doesn't love a good story in a game, right?

from what i've gathered, the game has a pretty linear storyline, with no branching paths or romance options. i'm kinda okay with that, though - sometimes it's nice to just play through a game without having to worry about making a million choices that affect the story. plus, the devs are focusing on making the story really engaging, with big-budget cutscenes and customizable squads. you can have up to four operators in your squad at a time, and they all have their own unique personalities and skills.

one thing that's a bit interesting is that there are no romance options in the game. apparently, the devs want to focus on the story and characters, but not in a way that's all about player-centric romance. i can see why they'd want to do that - it can be kinda distracting when games try to shoehorn in romance options that don't really fit with the rest of the story. and hey, maybe it's nice to just have a game where you can focus on the gameplay and story without having to worry about who your character is going to fall in love with.

the game also has permadeath, which is pretty intense. you can turn it off if you want, but it adds an extra layer of tension to the gameplay. and even though the story is linear, there are some moments that can change based on who's in your squad. it's not a huge deal, but it's a nice touch - it makes the gameRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
