so i've been checking out this new star wars game, galactic racer, and i'm kinda obsessed with it already. it's a racing game, but not just any racing game - you get to speed around on landspeeders, skim speeders, and even those sleek speeder-bikes from the movies. and of course, there's podracing too, which is just as intense as it sounds.

i love how each vehicle handles differently, it's like they really put thought into how they'd move and feel in the game. landspeeders are pretty straightforward, but skim speeders have this crazy "knife's edge" mode that lets them tilt sideways and dodge obstacles. speeder-bikes are super fast, but also super fragile, so you gotta be careful not to crash. and then there's the podracing, which is like a whole different beast - agile turns, crazy speeds, the whole deal.

now, i haven't gotten to try out the multiplayer yet, but the singleplayer campaign is where it's at for me. it's basically a roguelike, which i know some people might be tired of, but i'm all about that repeat-run life. you play as this mysterious racer named shade, and you've got to take down this snooty rich kid named kestar bool. to do that, you've got to complete these galactic tours, which are like branching paths with choices and upgrades and all that jazz.

the upgrades are actually really in-depth, and you can build your ride to be all about speed, or takedowns, or just being a tank. i had a blast trying out different builds and seeing what worked best for me. and the nodes, which are like little challenges and races, are pretty varied too. someRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
