omg, you guys, have you heard about the latest star wars game, eclipse? it's being developed by quantic dream, the same studio behind heavy rain, and it's supposed to be this super cinematic experience. but here's the thing - it's still pretty far off from being finished, like years off. apparently, the devs are even saying that they literally can't finish it without hiring more staff.



i'm a bit skeptical about this, to be honest. i mean, it's not like quantic dream is a small studio or anything. they've worked on some pretty big games in the past, so you'd think they'd have the resources to handle something like this. but at the same time, i can understand how a game like eclipse would be a huge undertaking. it's an action adventure game with a focus on storytelling, which is kinda quantic dream's thing. and they're trying to do something new and innovative with it, which can be tough.



so, what do we actually know about eclipse? well, it's supposed to be set in the star wars universe, which is pretty cool. and it's going to follow the story of an athletic 30-something human-like character, which sounds kinda generic, but i'm willing to give it a shot. the gameplay is supposed to be similar to quantic dream's previous games, with a focus on action and adventure. and, funnily enough, there was some leaked concept art that showed a gungan character, which is pretty interesting. but don't get too excited, it's not jar jar binks.
