omg, you guys, have you heard about the latest star wars game, star wars eclipse? it's been in the works for a while now, and i'm super stoked about it, but it looks like the devs are facing some major issues. apparently, the studio behind the game, quantic dream, is planning to lay off 115 staff members, and the devs are not happy about it.

i can understand why they're upset - these layoffs could literally mean the end of the game. the devs are saying that they're already understaffed, and losing more people would make it impossible to finish the game. it's crazy to think that the studio is willing to risk the entire project like this. i mean, star wars eclipse has been in development since 2021, and we've barely seen anything from it. it's supposed to be this awesome game where you play as different characters during the high republic era, but if the devs don't get the support they need, it might never see the light of day.

the thing that really gets me is that the studio knows they're understaffed, but they're just relying on the devs to crunch and get the game out anyway. it's not a sustainable way to make games, and it's not fair to the people working on it. the devs are already stressed out, and now they have to worry about losing their jobs too. it's just really frustrating to see a game that i'm so excited about being put in jeopardy like this. the devs are trying to fight back, though - they're on strike and trying to raise awareness about the issue.

preorders are available at major retailers, but i'm not sure if i want to support the game if the devs are being treated so poorly. iRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
