omg, you guys, have you heard about the new expansion for stalker 2: heart of chornobyl? it's called cost of hope and it's coming out this summer. i'm super excited because it's going to include the chornobyl power plant, which was weirdly missing from the base game. i mean, it's like the most iconic part of the zone, right?

anyway, cost of hope is supposed to be a "massive nonlinear expansion" with dozens of hours of gameplay. it's going to have new stories, characters, and a whole new area to explore called the iron forest. this place looks super creepy, with all these mangled transmission towers and electrical cables everywhere. it's like the perfect place for all the weird and wonderful things that happen in the zone. and, of course, we're going to get to explore the chornobyl power plant, which is just going to be amazing.

so, the story of cost of hope is all about the conflict between the freedom and duty factions, which has been simmering since the first stalker game. it's going to be a real game-changer, with player choices that affect not just the zone, but the whole world outside. i'm not really sure what side i'm on, but i think i might have to go with freedom just because they have better traders and comfier chairs. oh, and you can get freshly baked bread there, which is like, the best thing ever.
