oh man, you guys, have you heard about the potential price tag of the upcoming playstation 6? it's looking like it could be over $900, which is just insane. i mean, i know console prices have been rising, but this is just crazy. apparently, the cost of materials alone is estimated to be around $960, which is $200 more than previous estimates.

i'm not sure how sony plans to make this work, but historically, consoles are sold at a loss or barely break even, with the company making their money from game sales and other stuff. so, if the ps6 is going to cost over $900, that means the retail price could be even higher, possibly over $1000. that's more than double the launch price of the ps5, which is just wow. i remember when the ps5 came out, it was already pretty pricey, but this is on a whole different level.

the thing is, sony is kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. the memory crisis is still going on, and it's not expected to end anytime soon, maybe not until 2028 or later. so, if they want to release the ps6 in the next few years, they'll have to deal with these high prices. but if they wait too long, they'll fall behind the competition and have to start over with new hardware. it's a tough spot to be in, and i'm not sure what i would do if i were in their shoes.

preorders are available at major retailers, but i'm not sure if i'm ready to drop that kind of cash on a console just yet. i mean, i love gaming and all, but $1000 is a lot of money. i guess weRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
