so sony is on a mission to clean up the playstation store and i am here for it. they just removed a bunch of games from some pretty shady publishers, including gogame console publisher, vrcforge studios, and welding byte. i mean, who hasn't seen those super sketchy games on the store with names that are way too similar to popular indie titles?

i did some digging and it looks like the games that got axed include some real gems like urban driver simulator and water blast shooter - wet gun. i'm not even kidding, those titles sound like something a middle schooler would come up with. and then there's jesus simulator, because why not, right? it's not like that's a sensitive topic or anything. but seriously, it's good that sony is taking steps to get rid of this kind of low-effort nonsense.

apparently, this isn't the first time sony has done something like this. back in january, they removed over a thousand games from one developer alone. that's a pretty big move, and it shows that they're serious about keeping the store free of, well, crap. and it's not just sony - other devs are speaking out against these shady publishers too. like, the people behind poppy playtime are suing google for not removing scam apps from the play store.
