omg, you guys, it's finally happening - the next call of duty game is ditching the old ps4 and xbox one consoles. i mean, it's about time, right? we've been stuck in this weird limbo where they're still making games for the old gen, but it's clear that those consoles just can't keep up anymore. last year's black ops 7 is apparently the last one we'll see on the ps4, and honestly, i'm kinda relieved.

i was getting a bit worried when i saw some rumors going around that the next game was still being tested on ps4, but thankfully activision came out and shut that down pretty quickly. they confirmed that the next call of duty won't be on ps4, and that's a big deal. it means we can finally expect a game that's been built from the ground up for the newer consoles, like ps5 and xbox series x/s, and pc of course.

it's crazy to think that it's been six years since the new consoles came out, and we're only just now getting a call of duty game that's exclusive to them. i mean, back in the day, black ops 3 was still being released on ps3 two years after the ps4 came out, so i guess we should be grateful that we didn't have to wait that long. but still, it feels like it's taken forever to get to this point.
