so i just heard about how the producer of silent hill f encouraged the writers to read a ton of books - like, 100 to 200 a year. that's wild, right? i mean, i love reading and all, but that's a lot of pages to turn. apparently, it's all about immersing themselves in different styles and genres to get inspiration for the game.

i think it's really cool that they're taking this approach, though. it shows that they're actually invested in creating a good story and not just relying on their reputation or whatever. the producer, motoi okamoto, said that it's a matter of "basic respect" to read the work of a writer before hiring them. it makes sense, i guess - you want to know what you're getting into before you bring someone on board.

it's also interesting that they hired a japanese horror writer, ryukishi07, to work on silent hill f. apparently, they read his stuff and thought he'd be a good fit for the series. i haven't read his books, but i've heard they're pretty spooky. i'm curious to see how his style translates to the game.
i love that the team is all about reading and learning from each other. it's not just about getting the job done, but about actually understanding the material and the genre. it's pretty refreshing, especially in an age where it's easy to just skim the surface of something and call it a day. silent hill f got a lot of praise for its story, so i guess it paid off.

anyway, preorders are available at major retailers, if you're interested in checking out silent hill f for yourself. i'm definitely curious to see what other writers and books will influence the series inRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
