omg, have you guys heard about cinder city? it's this upcoming mmo shooter set in a post-apocalyptic seoul, and i am so down for that setting - we don't get enough games set in south korea, you know? but anyway, the game's been making headlines recently because of its crazy system requirements. at first, they were saying you'd need 64gb of ram to play it, which is just insane.

i mean, i've seen some hefty system requirements in my time, but that's just ridiculous. even the minimum specs were listing 32gb of ram, which is still way more than most games ask for. and the thing is, the game doesn't even have a release date yet, so who knows if these specs are even final. apparently, the devs have already changed the recommended specs once, dropping the ram requirement down to 32gb and bumping up the gpu requirement to an rtx 4070.

i'm not entirely sure what to make of these specs, to be honest. it's possible that the devs are just throwing out some placeholder numbers and will revise them later. and it's not like cinder city is the only game with crazy system requirements - i've seen other games asking for 64gb of ram too. but at the same time, it's hard not to feel like the devs are being a bit optimistic about what kind of hardware people have.

as for the game itself, i'm still on the fence. i love the setting, like i said, and the idea of a tactical shooter mmo sounds pretty cool. but from what i've seen so far, the gunplay looks a bit meh, and the character designs are kinda... questionable. i mean, why do the guysRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
