the thing is, the people behind rpg maker are moving to a new platform, and they're not planning on archiving the old forums, which is kinda crazy when you think about it. i mean, there are hundreds of thousands of messages on there, with tons of valuable info and guides that will just disappear if nobody does anything about it. it's a huge task to go through all of it, but some members of the community are trying to organize an effort to save as much as they can before the forums close on december 11th, 2026.

i'm really hoping they succeed, because it would be a huge loss for the community if all that knowledge and history just vanished. i've heard that there are some really dedicated fans who are working hard to archive as much as they can, and i'm sending them all my positive vibes. it's not just about saving old posts, it's about preserving a part of gaming history that's really important to a lot of people. and who knows, maybe the new forum will be even better, but it's hard not to feel a little sad about saying goodbye to the old one.
