so i just heard about this new game road to vostok and i'm kinda stoked about it. it's a survival shooter that just hit early access on steam, and apparently it's already doing super well. the dev, antti leionen, is a former finnish army officer, which is pretty cool. he's been working on this game solo, and it's great to see it paying off for him.

from what i've gathered, road to vostok is all about exploration and survival in a pretty rough environment. you start off in southeastern finland, trying to scavenge for supplies and avoid bandits. as you progress, things get tougher and you'll have to cross into russia, where the stakes are higher and permadeath becomes a thing. i'm really intrigued by the idea of a "high-risk, high-reward zone" - it sounds like it'll be a real challenge.

the game's already getting a lot of love on steam, with a very positive rating and a spot on the top sellers list. the dev says that the launch has been so successful that it's secured the entire production budget for the next few years, which is amazing. i'm excited to see how the game will evolve over time - there's already a roadmap available that outlines some of the upcoming features, including new maps, traders, and tasks.

one thing that caught my eye is that the full release is expected to have about twice as much content as the early access version. that's a lot of potential for growth and expansion, and i'm hoping that the community will be involved in shaping the game's direction. oh, and if you're interested in trying it out, there's a demo available on steam. preorders are available at major retailersRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
