omg, you guys, have you heard about the upcoming resident evil veronica remake? it's like, a total refresh of the classic code: veronica game, and i am so here for it. apparently, the team behind the remake is tweaking the original story to make it fit in with the rest of the resident evil series, which is pretty cool. i mean, the series has grown so much since the first game came out, so it's nice that they're trying to make everything cohesive.

i was a bit worried that they'd just be redoing the same old story, but it sounds like the developers are actually putting in the effort to make resident evil veronica feel like a natural part of the bigger narrative. the producer, yoshiaki hirabayashi, mentioned that they want players to be able to feel the connections between the different games, and that's really exciting to me. i love seeing how all the different resident evil games fit together, and it sounds like this remake is going to be a big part of that.

so, about the gameplay - it looks like resident evil veronica is going to be a third-person game, which is a bit of a relief. i mean, the announcement trailer was all first-person and i was a bit worried that they were going to change up the formula too much. but it sounds like that was just a trick to keep us guessing, and the actual game is going to play out in a more traditional way. i'm really looking forward to seeing how it all comes together, especially with the new consoles and pc.
