omg, you guys, so i just found out that we're not getting gta 6 on pc on november 19, which is literally the worst. but, apparently, we've got something almost as good (yeah right) called phantom vice auto launching on steam the same day. i mean, i've seen the trailer and it looks... interesting, i guess. it's got all the basics of an open-world action game, but it's just so... bare.

i don't know, maybe i'm just spoiled from playing all the amazing games out there, but phantom vice auto just seems like it's trying too hard to be something it's not. the streets are empty, the graphics are meh, and the whole thing just feels like a cheap rip-off of gta. and don't even get me started on the "wasted" thing when you die - how unoriginal can you get? i mean, at least try to come up with something unique, you know?

but hey, i guess phantom vice auto does have some... quirks. like, have you seen the pedestrian system? it's literally just two people walking around, and then a third one way off in the distance. i mean, i've seen more realistic pedestrian simulations in old ps2 games. and the screenshots on the steam store are just laughable - there's this one that shows a character model with all these moving parts, but it's just so... awkward. it's like they bought all these assets from a store and just mashed them together.
