so, you guys, it's been 20 years since tomb raider: legend came out, which is pretty crazy. this game was a major reboot for the series and it's still got a lot of fans today. recently, some unseen gameplay footage from early in the game's development surfaced, and it's really interesting to see how different it looks from the final product.



the footage shows off some areas that didn't make it into the game, which is a total tease for anyone who loves tomb raider. it's like getting a glimpse into an alternate universe or something. the visuals are also noticeably different, which just goes to show how much work goes into making a game look and feel just right. i'm a total sucker for behind-the-scenes stuff like this, and it's amazing to think about how far the series has come since then.



if you're feeling nostalgic, you can actually play tomb raider: legend and tomb raider: anniversary on your xbox one, since they're now backwards compatible. that's pretty cool, and it's a great way to experience these classic games on modern hardware. preorders are available at major retailers, in case you want to get your hands on some physical copies or merch.

anyway, it's wild to think about how much tomb raider has evolved over the years. from the old ps1 games to the newer, more action-oriented titles, there's just so much to love about this series. and with tomb raider - live in concert coming to the hammersmith apollo in december, it's clear that the franchise is still going strong. i'm curious to see what the future holds for lara croft and co - maybe we'll get some new announcements soon?
