omg, you guys, i just found out about this adorable game called the wide open sky is running out of catfish, and i'm totally obsessed. it's like a mix of zelda and a photography sim, but with a super chill vibe. you play as a young witch who lives on the back of a flying catfish (yeah, it's a thing) that's basically a magical island in the sky.



the goal of the game is to use your magic flute to transform into an eel and eat clouds, which then turn into creatures that you can photograph. it sounds weird, but trust me, it's actually really cool. and the best part is, you get to use a working photo printer in your cottage to print out your pics, which is just so satisfying. i mean, who doesn't love the sound of a fax machine, right?



i also love how the game has all these little details that make it feel so real. like, you can use a desktop computer to browse the internet and chat with friends on this app called dolphin chat. and your character, jet, is just so relatable - she's a total introvert who's scared of the human world, but at the same time, she's trying to make a difference by rewilding the skies. it's like, i get you, girl.
