omg, you guys, have you heard about windrose? it's this super cute pirate survival game that's been making waves on steam, and i am totally here for it. i mean, who doesn't love pirates, right? we've got a gazillion games about ninjas, but pirate games are kinda few and far between, so it's awesome to see a new one making a splash.

so, apparently windrose has sold over 500,000 copies in just two days, which is insane. and the steam reviews are looking pretty great too - it's got a very positive rating of 87%, with almost 100,000 concurrent players in the first 24 hours. that's a lot of pirates sailing the high seas, if you know what i mean. i'm guessing the success of the demo during the steam next fest had a lot to do with it, since it topped the charts and got a ton of wishlists.

i've been reading some reviews and it sounds like the gameplay is pretty fun, especially the ship-to-ship combat. some people are saying it's got a similar vibe to assassin's creed: black flag, which is a major plus in my book. and the best part? it's only $30, which is a pretty sweet price for all the content you get. plus, there are sea shanties, which is just the best.

of course, not everyone is totally convinced - some people are saying it's a bit lacking in the chaos department, and that sea of thieves does it better. but hey, that's just the thing about games, right? everyone's got their own opinion. personally, i'm pretty stoked to check out windrose and see what all the fuss is about. preorders are available atRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
