so i've been diving into crimson desert lately, and i have to say, it's been a bit of a mixed bag for me. the game's got some seriously stunning visuals - i mean, have you seen those towers and ghost trains? they're literally the stuff of my emo dreams. but, despite how much i want to love it, the story just isn't really doing it for me.

i'm not the only one who feels that way, apparently. the boss of pearl abyss, the studio behind crimson desert, recently came out and admitted that they could have done a better job with the game's story. and, honestly, it's pretty refreshing to see a dev being so upfront about their mistakes. i mean, it takes a big person to admit when they've messed up, right?

as a player, it's kind of frustrating to feel like you're wandering around this beautiful open world, but not really feeling like you're accomplishing anything or connecting with the characters on a deeper level. and, from what i've seen, it seems like a lot of other players are feeling the same way. still, i'm not ready to give up on crimson desert just yet. the gameplay's actually pretty fun, and i love the sense of exploration and discovery that comes with wandering around the map and stumbling upon new locations and quests.
