so i just got done reading this really cool article about mmo players and i'm lowkey obsessed with the results. basically, the writer of this column called "terminally online" decided to do a bunch of polls to figure out what kind of players are reading their stuff, and the answers are actually really interesting.

apparently, most of the readers are healers - like, a full 32% of them. that's pretty wild, right? i mean, i've always thought of healers as the backbone of any good mmo team, but i didn't realize they were so popular. and get this - they're also super into fashion. like, 36% of readers think that fashion is the "true endgame", which is hilarious to me because i'm definitely one of those people who spends way too much time picking out outfits for my characters.

but what's really cool is that these readers aren't just about looking good - they're also pretty patient. like, 70% of them don't mind if a dungeon run is a little slow, which is basically the opposite of me. i'm always getting anxious if we're not moving at a million miles an hour, but i guess that's just not how most people play. and when it comes to game mechanics, it seems like readers are pretty split on whether classic mmos are still cool or not. some people think they're outdated, while others are all about that old-school tab-targeting life.

i have to say, i'm a little surprised by how much i identify with this reader profile. i mean, i love playing healers, and i'm all about customizing my characters' looks. and while i'm not always the most patient person, i do appreciate a good tab-targetingRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
