so, you guys heard about the upcoming path of exile update? it's supposed to be a total game changer, especially for the endgame. i've been playing the sequel a lot lately, and i have to say, the original path of exile can feel a bit... stale. the loot system is basically the biggest issue - it's just too predictable and not very exciting.

i mean, think about it. most of the good loot comes from chests, not from actually killing monsters. and there's no way to scale up the difficulty to get better rewards. it's all just a bit too same-old, same-old. but, thankfully, the devs are on it. they're planning this huge "extreme shakeup" in patch 3.30, which is supposed to totally revamp the endgame. i'm talking new league mechanics, new ways for them to interact with each other... the whole nine yards.

apparently, the problem is that path of exile has just been around for so long, it's accumulated all these unique league mechanics that are just... stagnant, i guess. the devs need to find new ways to make them interesting and interactive. and that's exactly what they're planning to do in 3.30. they want to make loot drops more random and less predictable, which sounds amazing to me. i mean, who doesn't love the thrill of getting a surprise item drop?

the update is still a few months away, but i'm already getting hyped. the devs are even borrowing some ideas from the sequel, which is cool. i'm a bit worried that some of the smaller additions might get pushed to the side, but honestly, if it means a better overall game, i'm all for it. preorders are available at major retailersRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
