so, you guys heard about palworld? it's this super popular game that just hit 1.0 and came out of early access, and it's been pulling in some crazy numbers - almost 900,000 players over the weekend, which is its second-highest peak ever. i mean, that's a lot of people playing one game at the same time.

i think what's really cool about palworld is that the devs didn't hike up the price when it left early access, which is pretty rare these days. and to celebrate the 1.0 release, they dropped a massive 27-page patch note, which just shows how much work they put into getting the game just right. the head of publishing and communications, john "bucky" buckley, was basically over the moon with the response, saying thanks to all the gamers out there and admitting that even they were surprised by just how many people showed up.

apparently, the all-time peak for palworld is a whopping 2.1 million players, which puts it up there with some of the biggest games out there. and while the devs must be stoked about the numbers, some players are already asking for more content, like randomised maps and new resource nodes. i mean, i guess when you've got a game that's this popular, people just can't get enough of it. but on the other hand, there are also some players who are asking for fixes to some of the game's systems, like base building and pal behavior, which is fair enough.

i think the big challenge for palworld now is going to be keeping all these players hooked. it doesn't need to keep pulling in nearly a million players every weekend, but it'll need to keep people interested somehow. maybe thatRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
