omg, you guys, have you heard that overwatch is reworking their hero ban system? i'm super stoked about this, as i'm sure many of you are. the current system just doesn't cut it, you know? we can only ban four heroes per match, and that's just not enough when there are 51 heroes to choose from. i mean, i've been in so many matches where i've had to prioritize which heroes to ban, and it's just not fair.

i remember when the hero ban system first came out in season 16 - it was a game changer. but, as time went on, it became clear that it wasn't perfect. the system works by having each player rank their top three bans, and the heroes with the most votes get banned. but, let's be real, this system is super flawed. unless your whole team is on the same page, some players are always going to get left out. and, honestly, it can be really frustrating when you know that a certain hero is going to ruin the game for you, but you can't ban them.

apparently, the devs are aware of these issues, and they're working on a new system that will allow us to make more informed ban decisions. alec dawson, the associate game director, mentioned that they're looking at ways to expand on the information we give and receive during the ban phase. this could be a total game changer - imagine being able to ban five heroes instead of four. it sounds like a small thing, but trust me, it would make a huge difference.
