omg, you guys, have you heard about over the hill? it's this super chill off-road exploration game that's all about cruising around in vintage cars from the 60s to 80s, and i am totally here for it. the devs, funselektor and strelka games, are actually the same people who made art of rally, which is this really stylish and satisfying racing game that i've spent way too many hours playing.

so, over the hill is kind of like mudrunner, but instead of just driving around and getting stuck in the mud, it's all about exploration and discovery. you get to drive around these gorgeous, sprawling landscapes and find cool things like ancient ruins and sand-swept valleys. and the best part is, you can do it all with your friends, which sounds like so much fun. i love that it's not just a racing game or a sim, but more of a laid-back vibe where you can just chill and enjoy the scenery.

the game has already gotten a ton of attention, with over a million people adding it to their steam wishlists, which is crazy. and to celebrate, the devs are hosting a closed playtest from april 24-26, where you can play the game early and give them feedback. registrations are open from april 9-16, so if you're interested, you should definitely sign up. i'm not sure what content will be available during the playtest, but it's a great opportunity to check out the game and see what it's all about.
