i just saw this crazy article about the ceo of openai suggesting that parents use ai to generate podcasts to, like, connect with their kids or something. apparently, the idea is that you hook up your family's calendars and let the ai make a daily podcast that talks about your kid's interests, upcoming events, and news. um, isn't that what parents are for?



i mean, i get that ai is getting more advanced and all, but this just feels so... wrong. like, what's the point of having kids if you're just gonna outsource the whole parenting thing to a machine? my mom used to drive me to school and we'd listen to music together, or i'd tell her about the latest game i was obsessed with. those were some of my favorite moments, you know? and now this guy is suggesting that we just replace all that with some automated podcast? no thanks.



apparently, a lot of people on social media are feeling the same way. there are tons of comments from people ridiculing the idea, like this one comedian who said it's like using a vibrator in separate rooms - what's the point, right? others are just calling it stupid or saying that kids should be listening to real music, not some generated ai nonsense. i'm with them on this one - there's just no substitute for actual human connection.
