so i just read this pretty wild article about how ai workers are already costing more than human employees for some companies. like, i know ai is supposed to be the future and all, but it's crazy to think that it's already getting to the point where it's more expensive than just hiring people.

apparently, the vice president of applied deep learning at nvidia said that the cost of compute for ai is "far beyond the costs of the employees" for his team. that's a pretty big deal, especially since nvidia is one of the companies that's really pushing the boundaries of what ai can do. it makes you wonder how much it's all going to cost in the end, and whether it's really going to be worth it.

one of the things that's weird about all this is that ai is supposed to be making our lives easier and more efficient, but it's also potentially going to replace a lot of jobs. like, microsoft's ai ceo thinks that lawyers, accountants, and project managers could all be replaced by ai within the next year or so. that's a pretty scary thought, especially for people who are just starting out in their careers.
but at the same time, there are people who think that ai will create new jobs that we can't even imagine yet. like, the ceo of nvidia said that we'll need hundreds of thousands of electricians, plumbers, and carpenters to build all the factories that will be needed to support ai development. it's hard to say what's going to happen, but it's definitely going to be interesting to watch.

preorders are available at major retailers, but to be honest, i'm not really sure what to make of all this ai stuff. it's cool that it's advancingRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
