omg, have you guys heard the latest nintendo news? so apparently, they're rolling out some new switch 2 revisions in europe, and the coolest part is that they'll have replaceable batteries. like, finally, right? i mean, who doesn't hate when their favorite console or controller just dies on them and they have to send it in for repairs or, worse, buy a whole new one.



anyway, nintendo's website says that these new revisions will start popping up in stores this summer, but they won't all be available at the same time. they've got a whole table breaking down the changes, like how the joy-cons are just getting replaceable batteries, but the switch 2 console is actually getting a slightly smaller battery and will be about 10g heavier. and if you're a fan of the pro controller, be prepared for a 16 percent smaller battery - ouch.



i'm kinda curious to see how this whole rollout is gonna go, especially since nintendo's being pretty vague about the timelines. they're saying that the joy-con revisions will be out this summer, followed by the switch 2 console in autumn, and then the pro controller in winter. and if you're waiting for the n64 and gamecube controllers, you'll have to hang in there till early 2027. preorders are available at major retailers, so you can start getting ready to upgrade your switch gear.
