so, you guys hear about the latest scoop on amd's upcoming tech? apparently, multi frame gen (or mfg for short) is making its way to their rdna4 gpus, and we're talking potentially up to 8x frame rates. i mean, that's crazy, right? as someone who's super into pc gaming, i'm both excited and a little skeptical about how this will all play out.

from what i've gathered, some clever user on a chinese forum called chiphell found some hidden settings in the latest amd drivers that suggest mfg ratios of up to 8x. this was done using a tool called radeontuner, which basically gives you access to more advanced settings that aren't available in the regular amd adrenalin app. it's pretty cool that we're seeing this kind of tech being developed, even if it's still in the experimental phase.

now, i know some of you might be thinking, "wait, doesn't nvidia already have this kind of tech?" and you're right, they do. but the thing is, amd's version could potentially go up to 8x, whereas nvidia's maxes out at 6x. that's a pretty significant difference, if you ask me. plus, the radeontuner tool also shows some other interesting settings, like fsr ray regeneration and neural radiance caching overrides, which could give us even more control over how games are rendered.

as an amd user myself (i rock an rx 9070 xt), i have to admit that i'm a little impatient for these new technologies to become more widely available. i mean, we've been waiting for a while now, and it's hard not to feel like we're playing catch-up with nvidiaRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
