so, big news for monster hunter wilds fans - the latest patch is dropping soon and it's bringing some awesome changes. i'm talking about the ability to play those sweet online-only missions offline, which is a total game changer for those of us who don't always have a stable connection. i mean, who hasn't been in the middle of a hunt and had their internet decide to take a nap?



anyway, this patch - numbered 1.042, for those who care - is set to release on august 4th, and it's not just about making event quests and challenge quests playable offline. it's also going to make all 25 of them available to accept without needing to be online, which is a huge deal. i know some players were missing out on some really tough and rare monster encounters just because they couldn't play online, so this is a big win.



now, just to clarify, these quests are still going to be available for a limited time, and then they'll get replaced with new ones. but don't worry, they'll all come back into rotation eventually, so you won't miss out forever. and to make it easier to keep track of what's currently available, the quest counter is getting an update to show all the available quests at the top. oh, and there's a new quest called "just what the doctor ordered" that's being added to the list, which is also playable offline.
