so i just heard that mindseye, that open world shooter that kinda flopped, just got a major update with some pretty interesting additions. i mean, it's not like it's going to save the game or anything, but it's still cool to see the devs trying to breathe some life into it. the update is called update 8, and it's supposedly one of the biggest ones yet.



one of the most notable new features is the addition of multiplayer, specifically a mode called "grenade football". it's basically like rocket league, but instead of cars, you've got players running around and blasting a giant ball at each other's nets. it sounds kinda fun, but also a bit rough around the edges - like, the ball just disappears into the launchers when you pick it up, which could get confusing. still, it's a unique idea, and i'm curious to see how it plays out.



the problem is, who's actually going to be playing this mode? the game's player base is tiny, with only like 36 concurrent players at peak hours. it's not exactly the most thriving community, you know? but hey, if you're one of the few people still playing mindseye, you might as well check it out and see what it's all about. preorders are available at major retailers, but i'm not sure why you'd want to preorder something that's already out.
