omg, you guys, i just found out that the latest update for nethack, which is literally the best roguelike ever, still supports ms-dos. like, what even is that? it's been 20 years since microsoft ended support for ms-dos, but the nethack team is all about keeping it old school. i mean, the game first came out in 1987, so it's not like they're strangers to retro tech.

i've been playing nethack on and off for a while now, and i have to say, it's still one of the most challenging and addictive games out there. the fact that it's been continuously updated since its release is just mind-blowing. i mean, can you think of any other game that's been around for almost 40 years and still getting new updates? it's crazy. and it's not just ms-dos that they support, either - they've also got an official binary for the amiga, which is just wild.
