omg, you guys, have you heard about the mass effect tv show? apparently, the people in charge want the writers to go back and make the scripts more appealing to non-gamers. i'm not sure how i feel about this, to be honest. on one hand, it's cool that they want to make the show accessible to a wider audience, but on the other hand, i worry that it might lose some of the magic that makes mass effect so special to us gamers.

i mean, think about it - mass effect is a super complex and immersive universe with a ton of lore and characters. trying to simplify it or make it more "mainstream" could be really tricky. and what about the fans who are already invested in the series? won't they feel like the show is being watered down or something? i guess only time will tell, but i'm definitely curious to see how this all plays out.

on a related note, i've been hearing rumors about a new rpg called exodus that's supposedly inspired by mass effect. apparently, the release date just got pushed back, but the devs are talking about all the cool features they're adding, like companions and romances. sounds pretty sweet to me, but i'm not holding my breath or anything. preorders are available at major retailers, if you're interested.
