omg, you guys, have you heard about the marvel tōkon: fighting souls open beta? it's finally here, but pc players are having a major meltdown due to some serious gameplay and performance issues. i mean, i'm all for a good fighting game, but this is just ridiculous. the dev team, arc system works, has already apologized and is working on a fix, which is awesome, but still, it's pretty disappointing.

apparently, the game is having some major problems with optimization, and players are reporting that it's running like a game from the 2000s on their high-end pcs. some people are even saying that the game is using up all their cpu threads because of the anti-cheat system and ps5 architecture. and to make matters worse, there are like five sony services running in the background at all times, which is just crazy. i'm no tech expert, but that sounds like a major resource hog to me.

one of the biggest complaints i've seen is about the input buffering, or rather, the lack of it. players are saying that the game is having trouble registering their inputs, especially when it comes to combos and special moves. it's pretty frustrating, especially for a fighting game where timing is everything. and then there's the whole psn connection requirement, which is just annoying. i mean, why do i need to sign in every time i close the game? it's just an extra layer of hassle that i don't need.
