omg, you guys, have you heard about the upcoming game marvel tōkon: fighting souls? it's like, a superhero tag fighter and i am so down for it. the beta just happened over the weekend and i was a bit worried when i heard about all the performance issues pc players were having - we're talking stuttering, low fps, the whole works.

i mean, it's not exactly the best look for a game that's launching in just a week, on august 6. but the devs, arc system works, seem to be on top of it. they apologized for the issues and shared some temporary fixes with the community, which is pretty cool. and they're promising to have all the major problems sorted out by launch day, which is a big relief.

so, what's getting fixed? apparently, the high cpu usage is a big one, which should help with overall performance. and they're also tackling the stuttering issue, which is just the worst when you're in the middle of a fight. plus, they're working on some other issues with streaming and rollback netcode, which should make the game way more smooth and enjoyable. preorders are available at major retailers, btw.

i have to say, i'm a bit surprised that the devs didn't catch all these issues before the beta, but at the same time, it's great that they're being so open and communicative with the community. and hey, at least they're not just leaving us hanging - they're actually doing something about it. so, fingers crossed that everything gets sorted out by launch day and we can all just enjoy the game without any major headaches.
