omg, you guys, have you heard about marvel's wolverine? it's coming out on september 15th for the ps5 and i am super stoked. what's even better is that insomniac just confirmed the game will be fully playable on the disc when it releases, which is kinda a big deal.



i mean, we all know how some games come on disc but you still have to download a ton of stuff to actually play it, which can be super annoying. but not with marvel's wolverine, apparently. the senior project director, jess reiner-reed, said that the game will come in both digital and physical versions, and the disc will have the full game on it. however, they do recommend downloading the day-one patch for some extra polish and bug fixes.



i'm kinda curious about how this game will play out, since it's supposed to be a more linear experience compared to insomniac's spider-man games. i mean, there's no open world to explore, which could be a bit of a bummer for some people. but at the same time, it's wolverine we're talking about - he's all about intense action and violence, so maybe a more focused approach will work better for this game.

it's also worth noting that this might be one of the last ps5 games to come out on disc, since sony announced they're stopping disc production from january 2028. which, honestly, is a bit of a shame. i love collecting physical copies of my favorite games, and it's also nice to be able to lend them to friends or sell them if i don't want them anymore. preorders are available at major retailers, btw.
