i mean, the thing is a laser beam and a grenade launcher all in one, so it's no surprise that it's been a bit of a problem. the grenade launcher mode is especially ridiculous, because the projectiles bounce off walls and stick to enemy players, making it basically impossible to avoid. i've seen people use it to just wipe out entire teams in seconds, and it's pretty frustrating. i'm not even that into competitive multiplayer, but it's hard not to get annoyed when someone's just destroying everyone with one weapon.

anyway, the devs at bungie have finally taken notice and decided to do something about it. they just rolled out an update that reduces the biotoxic disinjector's damage by 35%, which is a pretty big nerf. i'm not sure if it's enough, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. the game director, joe ziegler, said that they're not sure if this is the final change, and they might make some more adjustments in the future. which is fair, because balancing a game is all about trial and error, right?
