omg, you guys, have you heard about the new mercy kits in marathon? basically, they're supposed to be this super cool way to show mercy to your enemies and potentially even team up with them. but, like, let's be real - players are using them to be super mean instead.

i mean, the idea behind these kits is actually really sweet. the devs wanted to give players a way to extend an olive branch to their rivals and maybe even make some new friends. but, of course, that's not what's happening. people are using the mercy kits to revive their enemies, just so they can kill them again and get some extra xp. it's pretty messed up, if you ask me.

i've seen some clips of players being super cruel with these kits. they'll revive someone, give them some free stuff, and then just shoot them in the head. it's like, what's the point of even having a mercy kit if you're just going to use it to troll people? i've only had a few experiences with friendly players in marathon so far, but it seems like those kinds of interactions are pretty rare.
it's not all bad, though. i have seen some players using the mercy kits in a more positive way. like, i've been in a few lobbies where people are actually working together and being friendly. and i've even seen a cooperative cryo archive match, which was pretty cool. but, overall, it seems like the mercy kits are just being used to make the game even more pvp-focused. i'm not sure what the devs can do to encourage more cooperation, but it's definitely an interesting problem to think about.
