so i just found out that the devs behind marathon, bungie, already have a solid idea of where they want to take the story over the next few years. i'm pretty stoked about this, considering how intricate and complex the game's narrative is. if you're like me and have been playing marathon, you know how easy it is to get lost in the story - but thankfully, there are some awesome fan-made resources out there to help us make sense of it all.

i recently stumbled upon this amazing fan-made timeline that literally lays out the entire story for you. it's been a lifesaver, let me tell you. and it's not just the story that's getting attention - the latest update for marathon added a locked-off fourth map, which is supposed to be the most challenging one yet. i'm both excited and terrified to try it out, but i know it'll be a blast.

one thing that's been on my mind lately is the whole microtransactions situation. i know some people have been complaining about it, and i can see why. but bungie is actually listening to our concerns and is working on a patch to address them. it's supposed to drop next week, so fingers crossed that it'll make a positive impact on the game.
i've also been checking out some of the other games that were featured in the steam next fest, and i have to say that there are some really cool demos out there. the top 10 most-played ones might surprise you, but i won't give away any spoilers just yet. let's just say that i've found some new games to add to my wishlist. preorders are available at major retailers, so be sure to check those out if you're interested.
