omg, you guys, have you heard about the latest drama going on with bethesda? so basically, they just announced some big news about the fallout series, including a new fallout 5 game and some remasters, which sounds super exciting, right? but the thing is, all of this news came out on the same day that a bunch of employees at bethesda montreal got laid off, which is just, like, really harsh.



apparently, these employees were told that they'd be getting the bare minimum severance pay, which is just eight weeks of pay and their outstanding vacation time. and to make matters worse, they're also losing their health insurance immediately, which is just crazy. i mean, can you imagine getting laid off and then having to deal with all the stress of finding a new job without even having health insurance? it's just so unfair.



i'm also really upset to hear that bethesda's union, onebgs, is saying that the company is violating labor laws in canada. like, shouldn't companies be looking out for their employees, especially when they're the ones making all the money? it's just really disappointing to see a company like bethesda treating their workers so poorly. and it's not like they're some small indie dev or something - they're a huge company with tons of resources, so you'd think they could do better.
