omg, you guys, i just heard about this crazy game called kingfish, and it's literally a co-op roguelike where one player gets to build a city, while the other gets to run around and fight monsters. it all takes place on this huge living island, which is just so cool. i mean, who wouldn't want to build a city on a giant fish?

so basically, one player is the king, and they're in charge of gathering resources, fighting enemies, and making sure the citizens are happy. the other player is the fish, which is like, the overseer of the city, and they get to plan where everything goes and help out from above. it's not a totally even split, though - the king has to get involved in building, and the fish can help out in combat. it's all pretty interesting, and i love the idea of combining city building with action gameplay.

i'm also really into the fact that it's a roguelike, which means there are going to be different maps, mechanics, and challenges each time you play. the king gets to choose which citizens join their kingdom, and each citizen has their own special abilities, which could be really fun. for example, some citizens might be good at building, while others are better at fighting. it adds a whole extra layer of strategy to the game.

one thing that does worry me a bit is that, with two such different playstyles, neither of them might be as fleshed out as they could be. it's possible that the game might feel a bit lacking in some areas, but at the same time, i think there's a lot of potential here. i'd love to get my hands on it and try it out for myself. preorders are availableRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
