omg, you guys, the latest kingdom hearts 4 news is giving me all the feels. so, at the d23 entertainment showcase, disney dropped a ton of info about the game, including its release window and a new anime series. but what really caught my eye was the first new world they're introducing - it's inspired by pixar's coco, and i am so here for it.

i mean, can you think of a more perfect mashup than kingdom hearts and coco? the land of the dead is already this vibrant, beautiful place, and adding sora and the gang to the mix is just genius. the trailer shows sora teaming up with miguel and hector to fight off heartless, and it looks like so much fun. and, of course, sora's rocking some awesome custom skull face paint to fit in with the dia de los muertos vibe.

but what's also cool is that the trailer gives us a glimpse of other parts of the game, like donald and goofy searching for sora in the underworld and quadratum, the tokyo-inspired hub city. it's our first real look at the game's gameplay, and i have to say, it's getting me hyped. we've been waiting for so long for more info on kingdom hearts 4, and it's great to finally see some real progress.
